Dear Lake City Community,
My name is Michelle Seydel and I am very excited to be the new Child Care Coordinator at Bluff View Elementary. It is such a privilege to have the ability to work with our students and parents to ensure a successful childcare experience within our Tiger Time and Cub Care programs.
My children and I have called Lake City home for the last seven years, after moving from Iowa where I grew up. I have five kids ages 16 to 6, and like most of you, they keep me on the move constantly! I have been with the Lake City School District for the past four years as a special education paraprofessional, working mainly with children in preschool to third grade. I have an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently enrolled at Southwest Minnesota State University in the Professional Writing and Communications undergraduate program. I have a passion for working with children and communication, so I am thrilled to find a position within our school district where I can do both!
You can expect an open line of communication from me as I step into the Child Care Coordinator role. I will always be available to answer any questions you may have, including inquiries about our programming, check-ins about your child, or any other day to day communication. Our previous coordinator, Kaden Steckbauer, has done an amazing job leading and growing both Tiger Time and Cub Care this year and I intend to continue supporting children and families in the same way, as well as furthering our programming for the Lake City Community.
I look forward to getting to know our children and families better and building relationships with you all. This is an opportunity I am grateful to have received, and I am so excited to see how we can partner together to best support our students and community.
Michelle Seydel
